If at the end of a "hand-woodwork day" I look around me and I see a lots of "Shavings."
It's incredible how many shavings you can make with hand tools. Sometimes it feels like being in a forest and walking over dry branches. When I thought about the name for my future web site there were many to choose from. When I evaluated what was the more common thing in my (if it could be so called) "workshop," shavings were the majority and the name "Shavings on the bench" was born.
Some of my knowledge comes from book-reading but the most from folks on various web sites who have shared their experiences with others hence, even though my contribution could be very small I am pleased to share what I learned and achieved. Language?? English, of course, if you wish to be "world-wide."
